New Colourliving Website and Blog

Hello! Today I’m extremely excited to reveal the all new Colourliving home finding website and spanking new separate blog. Yes, I finally decided to split the two.

Thought my Bird Houses sketch was appropriate for my new online homes.

This journey was meant to take place last year but I lost my very talented coder, who specialised in coding exclusively for designers. (It seems she’s no longer coding).

Designing a new website is always a little daunting. There’s so much to think about. For me, the only real difficulty is finding a good coder, who understands my language and can translate my designs into HTML. Ah, but that’s no easy feat.

So my search began, or better said I just put the project on hold until something or someone surfaced. Thanks to my friend Rebecca, who’s always incredibly supportive and resourceful (check out her free Instagram course), I got in touch with Rich Flynn.

Rich, a thoroughly lovely English gentleman, worked extremely hard to satisfy my rather high end expectations:-) You see as a designer I don’t need help in design but in coding. I’m demanding and do expect excellence but in turn I know what I want, am supportive and chip in wherever I can. Rich will tell you it was a bit like going through boot camp, but in a good way.

Rich was working as an IT Consultant for 11 years. In 2014 he was made redundant. It was then he decided to retrain as a Web Designer/Developer and has since developed a passion for creating Websites & Blogs for small to medium businesses. If you’re looking to launch a website or blog for your business I can highly recommend you get in touch with Rich. He lives in the UK, can be reached on the phone and his fees are very affordable.

Thanks to Rich, in less than 4 weeks (meanwhile we’ve both even been on holiday) I have my two new sites up an running in exactly the way I want them.

I took the decision to change the URL for my blog but don’t worry, everything has been linked so anyone still typing in colourliving.co.uk/blog will automatically hit the new site.
