Some of you will remember a post i wrote a couple of months ago about a cute vintage shop owned by the lovely tania. In my interview, tania talked about making use of her ‘shop kitchen’ and introducing some styled events, dinner soirees et cetera.
Well, here is the first of these events. A 30’s berlin cabaret club german brunch!
Unfortunately i already had other plans, but managed to pop in on my way to the farmers market to take a few pre-brunch snaps!
I was told that this an authentic 30’s drink. Cherry tear drop absinthe, filled with sekt sinthe. Go figure!
Some of the beautiful dining ware.
Gorgeous flowers.
Ralf, the chef at work. I’ve always wanted to be able to chop onions like this..
Sauerkraut salad.
Tomato salad.
Baked salmon with home made mayonnaise.
German sausage platter.
Drinks at the ready.
I then quickly popped back to snap a few pics at the live event.
Anyone recognise antoni from antoni & alison. Who knew, apparently him and tania are best mates! I loved antoni’s fancy dress efforts. Brunhilde anyone?
Very cabarettish indeed! Loved the outfit.
Yes, another fun effort.
Check out tania’s false eyelashes ladies and gentlemen. How great are these?
Loving the dress and necklace.
The brunch in full swing.
A finally, german cheese cake. Loving ralph’s shirt.
I’m sure everyone had a great time and ate and drank well into early evening. Can’t wait to see what’s next up on the events list. Tania, any ideas?
What would your costume have been if you had attended this brunch?

Hi Tina
Wow! You really captured the essence of this fabulous and special event yesterday. Lovely photos. Tania Rowlings and Ralf Witting produced an amazing array of dishes to for all palettes. Everything was so carefully and beautifully made and above all extremely tasty. The guests were also a feast for the eyes dressed in 1930’s German Cabaret style. When is the next one?
Cheers
Simon
Thank you Simon.
What a great testimonial for Tania and Ralf. It all looked delicious and I did enjoy the efforts a lot of the guests made.
Nice to meet you.
Looks like a fun event. Food looks delicious and such creative dress ups. x
Yeah, food and dress up was spectacular! Thanks G x
What a great event! German Cabaret style is the kind of dresscode I like! That drink sounds dangerous, though. I bet it loosened up the atmosphere very quickly!
Apparently the drink is not as lethal as it sounds:-)) wee, at least that’s what I’ve been told!!
How much fun does this look like, loving the headpiece of Antoni, brilliant. Food looks amazing, although I might have given the drink a wide berth – have heard that Absinth makes you go nutty (never tried – nutty enough as it is;-)
Have a great week love,
Axx
Haha. Antoni’s headpiece was magical… so reminds me of my childhood!
Like it… making you nutty (yeah, you’re nutty enough, I can vouch for that:-)) xx
Blogger Extraordinaire, you are! Tina, you were basically in two places at once! Thanks for covering this fancy feast, it looks wonderful and such a good idea.
Cool that Antoni was there! It’s a small world, as they say 🙂
If I attended, I would have worn this outfit, the one with the white accents, with gloves and all: http://www.designcatwalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/lwren-scott.jpg. I would maybe add a dainty hat too.
Xx.
Hahaha. Not so extraordinaire:-))
Yes, couldn’t believe it when I heard there’s close… small world indeed!!
I think you would have looked stunning in that outfit. Mwah xx
This is making me sooo hungry
What a fab soirée !
I’m still dreaming of french rotisserie….:-)
Thanks Carol
What a super fun event this looks to have been, Tina! Love your snaps – especially the one of the tomato salad which has made me hungry for lunch already! x
Isn’t it creative and different to have a 30’s Berlin Cabaret Club Brunch?? I could picture you there:-) A bow tie, perhaps?
Thanks W x
Another visual feast! And the food looks delicious, too. Yes, I did recognise Antoni, although he looks a little different – just can’t put my finger on it.
Hahaha. Very funny. Glad you enjoyed x
What a fun idea! Love the eclectic vibe and the eccentricity of the guests when it comes to dressing up for the occasion. Thanks for sharing my dear friend!
Isn’t it great when people make an effort? I loved all the fake eyelashes. Maybe a bloggers event like this? Now, there’s a thought!
Cool event with even cooler people! Looks like so much fun and the food does indeed look extremely tasty. Your photos are superb and what a small world it is seeing Antoni there. I love the cabaret outfit also, it looks stunning on the gorgeous lady wearing it.
The gorgeous lady is Tania’s sister.. didn’t she look fab? Loved her outfit!
Too cool for school??? Thanks C x
What a cool brunch, Tina! Such a pity you had other plans! Would have loved seeing you in one of these eclectic outfits 😉 And oh my, that 30’s drink sounds devilish!
I wouldn’t have known what to wear! But I’m sure you would have:-)
Ha. Good job I don’t drink!
Food looks delicious and the crowd looks fun too. Very cabaret!
Very cabaret indeed. Thanks Louise.
