Late to the party but at least I turned up.
After a short summer break it’s Urban Jungle Bloggers month.
Urban Jungle Bloggers is a monthly series, devised by Igor and Judith. The idea is to get some green into our homes, especially for us urban folks! Every month they invite bloggers to share ideas for creating an urban jungle through styling challenges, DIYs, green tips and tricks. Every month there is a different theme on the topic. You can follow and get more Urban Jungle Bloggers inspiration on Pinterest and on Facebook.
September’s theme is: ‘back to school, plants in the workplace’
Wousa, have I missed something? Holiday month? I’ve been working non-stop so it’s all becoming a blur. Thank you to those who keep patiently awaiting news of my new venture. It’s really not long now.
Back to business. I have a home office and it’s difficult to photograph as it’s not big but with a lot of desk space. If I turn to my right, I have some in-built storing cupboards and here sometimes you’ll find my trolley. The ceramics biscuit tin I found in a second hand shop and I immediately decided to house a vibrant and jolly plant in there to keep me company as the weather turns and the nights draw in.

If I turn around I’m faced with a big desk. Some of you would have seen my post of stationery heaven where you can see it better. Right now, I’ve got 2 plants sitting there. I’m a bit in love with the lidded pot I found recently (left)
Left: Kalenchoe | Right: Heather plant (which usually lives outdoors on my terrace).
This next section is where my Apple Mac sits. This purpose-built desk is facing the front of the room, which is open plan. I built this island for my home office as a separation between living and working.
The succulents in the 3 little pots were gifted to me by a friend.
These guys like to move around the apartment and are actually doing rather well.
So, there you have it. As autumn turns to winter and I have to say good-bye to my roof terrace for a long while, I try and cheer myself up with flowers and plants. I make sure I choose ones that don’t need too much looking after:-)
As I prepare to launch my new venture, my blogging is (unfortunately) taking a bit of a back seat. Apologies to my readers for the lack of posts. I’ll be back here on Thursday 2nd October. See you then x
