Roamers was high on my list of new places to discover in Berlin. Not the easiest to find, it’s around the corner at the very end of Pannierstraße in Neukölln. I actually went the wrong way which made me discover another gem, but that’s for another post!
It opened in January 2014 so it already has a major following. What attracted me the most was that it’s definitely an Urban Jungle in the middle of the city.
The moment I arrived I was in love. The sun was beaming and many people sat outside trying to soak up some Vitamin D. Berlin gets very grey and cold over the winter months.
Inside your eyes are immediately drawn to plants, greens, delicious food, a shabby chic interior and a most relaxed atmosphere. I couldn’t wait to sit down and get the Roamers experience.
If you want to have coffee, cake and food amongst an Urban Jungle, this is the place for you. As with many places in Berlin, it’s all very low key and relaxed. Plants sit comfortably on floors, shelves and hang from ceilings.
The food looked so good that I didn’t know what to choose. In the end I went for the breakfast platter. All truly fresh and scrumptious.
I’ve read that Roamers and their food presentation has been compared to the likes of images found in Kinfolk magazine. Not the biggest fan of this recent movement with most blogs and Instagram photos trying to emulate that look, Roamers certainly has it’s unique take and character. But why not go and see for yourselves?
