Morning. Happy monday. Yay! It’s vive la différence monday!
Today we have the lovely Anya from Denmark. Anya is the author of anyaadores, a website i go to for the most incredible imagery and selection of colour, interiors and her adorable girls!
For new readers:
The concept: each month I will invite one blogger. They will create and showcase one image/vignette. There are 20 themes and 20 objects for my guest to choose from. They choose 1 theme and up to 3 objects. I will then create an image/vignette based on their choice. Everyone has free reign on how to create the image. It can be simple photography, a drawing, a collage, a hand-painted image, a styled table top… the choice is yours! The fun part is that you, my readers, will see 2 versions inspired by the same subject matter. There is no right or wrong. There’s just ‘different’.
Here it comes: Anya chose the theme: sex and the city with the following objects: glass ware, handbag, jewellery
I was one of the girls glued to the telly when they showed the newest episode of SATC back in the day. I imagine myself, getting ready to meet the girls, makeup table a mess, drink at the ready, figuring out what to wear, where to go, whilst listening to some cool tunes. Today my life is more likely spent in front of the telly than in a cool bar, so today I’m still getting myself ready, but for a night in with the girls, watching SATC dvd sets, nattering and catching up on gossip, ours and Carries. Thanks for having me Tina, so much fun taking part.

Who didn’t like SATC? Right? Believe it or not, next year it will be 10 years since the series ended. In honour, my take is more of how the girls would have dealt with being women in the 21st century. The 90’s was all about going out, having fun and bagging a man. Today the girls have found different ways to ‘be a woman’. They are wiser (owl), they understand that love comes in many disguises (book), they express themselves with blogging, they craft, they create, they appreciate the simple things in life (magazine). Slowly approaching 50, they wear far less make-up and appreciate a night in with their loved ones (candle as glass ware). Technology is everywhere (iPhone and iPad, keyboard) and yet, these girls love to draw, write and go down memory lane. It’s good to age gracefully and these girls do!
Wow, that took me back on memory lane. I want to thank Anya for being a great sport and, personally, for making me feel 30 again! Thank you for your hard work.
Who enjoyed this? I hope the beginning of the week treats you well and i will see you back here on thursday.
