Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day for the entire month. 31 Days / 31 Drawings.
This is my first year with this challenge and I wanted to stretch myself. I’m really rubbish at drawing faces and portraits so here was the challenge.
In the beginning I struggled a lot but as the days went by I realised that I wasn’t frightened anymore – the paralysis of drawing faces/portrait had vanished. I think that’s the best way to learn, when we’re not scared to make mistakes. What do I think. Well, maybe I’m 20% further than I was when I started and that’s good enough for me. Onwards, as they say!
Here’s a selection of my 31 drawings.
Which one is your favourite?
As ever, thank you for all your support of my creative endeavours.
