Roamers Café in Berlin

April 20, 2015

Roamers was high on my list of new places to discover in Berlin. Not the easiest to find, it’s around the corner at the very end of Pannierstraße in Neukölln. I actually went the wrong way which made me discover another gem, but that’s for another post!

It opened in January 2014 so it already has a major following. What attracted me the most was that it’s definitely an Urban Jungle in the middle of the city.

The moment I arrived I was in love. The sun was beaming and many people sat outside trying to soak up some Vitamin D. Berlin gets very grey and cold over the winter months.

Inside your eyes are immediately drawn to plants, greens, delicious food, a shabby chic interior and a most relaxed atmosphere. I couldn’t wait to sit down and get the Roamers experience.

If you want to have coffee, cake and food amongst an Urban Jungle, this is the place for you. As with many places in Berlin, it’s all very low key and relaxed. Plants sit comfortably on floors, shelves and hang from ceilings.

The food looked so good that I didn’t know what to choose. In the end I went for the breakfast platter. All truly fresh and scrumptious.

I’ve read that Roamers and their food presentation has been compared to the likes of images found in Kinfolk magazine. Not the biggest fan of this recent movement with most blogs and Instagram photos trying to emulate that look, Roamers certainly has it’s unique take and character. But why not go and see for yourselves?

Looks wonderful Tina. I am bemused as to why the blackboard writing is in English?

Love it Tina. My kind of cafe, it looks really laid back and non pretentious. G always says that he’d love to live in Berlin, I haven’t been there myself but it’s one of his favourite cities. Hope you have more photos of your weekend there. M xx

It’s too cool for school. Really laid back but then a lot of Berlin is like that.
I absolutely love it so can understand why G would like to live here. Will be showing more finds.

Hihi Roamers is on my UJB must-visit list too 😉 It looks really nice and the food very yummy too. Kinfolk style or not, fresh and tasty is always good!

Looks like a real delight! And oh so Berlin. I’ve never been, sadly, but heard of it plenty times. Happy to enjoy these lovely snaps, thanks!

Was Roamers recommended to you? Your breakfast looks so fresh and colourful and I love the window signage, Coffee and Booze – very laid back and a great discovery.

I stumbled upon it in an article a while back and knew it had to be top of the list. Really in love with it. Wouldn’t it be fun to meet there with Mel? Ha, that would be a hoot! xx
