London’s Landmarks at Night

October 24, 2013

Hello everyone. For some change, i thought it would be fun to highlight some of the fantastic architecture and landmarks of this great city. Night shots are great but as this is colourliving, why not emphasise a little with some artistic licence, or err, photoshop! So, here they are, some of london’s landmarks at night!

I will never tire of seeing st. paul’s cathedral from any angle. It is one of my favourite landmarks in london.

The wonderful shell mex house (in the middle), at it’s best at nights.

County hall (to the right) is another stunning example.

Ah, our beloved millenium wheel.

I love how they light up the concrete buildings at the south bank at nights.

It did strike 9pm just before i took this photo of big ben.

Tower bridge and pink? Hmm, but i urge you to drive over it at night when it’s all lit up. Magical!

Have you visited any of these landmarks and which ones are your favourites? Happy weekend everyone. Don’t forget, the clocks go back on saturday night. Early darkness is upon us.

Looking forward to publish another creative process post on monday. So long folks!

I have visited them all & love them all. And I concur… driving over Tower Bridge at night is magical. My favourite – architecturally – would be the South Bank buildings. I can imagine you love them colouring that concrete 🙂 I always found the best views in London from Waterloo Bridge.

Love the St Paul’s pic. Great contrasts 🙂

    Gxx

London is beautiful!!! Glad you like all Landmarks. There were many more I wanted to include… maybe a part 2!!

I knew you would chose the South Bank buildings. I actually don’t like them but love how they got round their ‘blandness’. The South Bank is so exciting,
      especially at night.

My absolutely favourite view is going over Waterloo Bridge. I often do so for that reason:-))

      Thanks G xx

Cool. And I never took any of it for granted. Was – and still am – wowed by London’s views! xx

Tina, I love these, you should have them on a wall. My favourite is St. Paul’s (I can’t believe I’ve never been inside), the green background and the red buses look great.

Thanks Alison… ha… not sure about hanging them on a wall but I like the St.Paul’s one best too… x
