Greetings. Happy Monday. It’s the last week in January. My EPIC giveaway closes this Friday so make sure you enter to get a chance to win 14 fabulous gifts!
Some of you will know that I took a little mini-vacation to the South of France just over a week ago. Many of us have our go to places when we’re in need of some much needed rest and relaxation. Mine happens to be la Côte d’Azur. A 90 minutes flight from London and you arrive in paradise. The weather in January can be temperamental, but when it is good and oh, it was so good the day I took these photographs, little else will beat it. A fantastic drive down the coastal road, eating some grilled fish by the harbour and soaking in the beauty and sun rays… what else can a girl wish for?
What is it about a beautiful scenery and glorious light? That combo is just unbeatable, would you agree? I recently was fortunate enough to capture a most glorious sunset in London, so thought it would be fun to do it while in the South of France. Of course, the weather and light were playing ball. The only difference is that I travelled along the coast while taking these photographs, stopping here and there while trying to get the best vista. And it was full moon!
The weather in London has been grey and wet so a little blue sky and a bit of beauty cannot go amiss. I hope you enjoy it!

I hope you’re still feeling invigorated after you mini break. I got to enjoy the Côte d’Azur vicariously through your fab IG shots. 🙂
Love this series of photos. The reflections of the yachts cast on the water are so mesmeric – bravo! 😀 xo
Wellllll, not sure about this. The weather here in London is crap. I’ve hurt my back so am in pain and riding a Vespa and running around in the cold and wet is not brilliant.
I myself look at these pictures to a) transport me back and b) remember how I felt..
Thank you Chi.. xx
Oh, my, sitting in Hannover with 20cm of snow and looking at these images make me want to book a flight directly back to Barcelona. You take lovely pictures, Tina. I am still recalling those from the London sunset! xx PD: I hope you were able to charge batteries and soak up all the possible sunshine!
Oh poor you, I hope you’re back in warmer climates by now.
Thank you Gudy… and yes, I had an amazing time, how can one not in that place, right? x
A beautiful little spot Tina. Such a wonderful scene for mid winter. Looks almost like a summer’s day.
I love that cliff face picture most. Strong, proud & majestic. Quite stunning indeed.
Delighted you had a restful & refreshing trip xx
One of my favourite places to escape to in Jan/Feb… it’s the milder climate, the bluer skies and the sitting by the harbour. It does wonders to my Soul!!
That cliff looked amazing IRL.. honestly the photo does it no justice.. I actually stopped the car, got out and took the photo. I’m so glad I did because it’s my fav!
Thanks G xx
Thanks for transporting me right back to the midi… the views, reflections of the water, the yachts and landscapes look so familiar… Love it there <3 Hope you are well rested and ready to face up to the greys and cold, Tina! xx
Pleasure Judith.. love every minute I’m there, every single time! Hope you’re well x

Hi Sarah, how are you?
Love Marinas too. Thank you!
I hope you are happily recharged. I am sure soaking up some vitamin D was good for your spirit. These shots are so beautiful… Much love xx
Hi darling. Seems so long ago now. Very much needed VitD. Thank you Leah. xx
Wow!!! Your pictures took me right back to the Côte d’Azur! It reminds me big time of my riviera sejour in May:-) I am so so ready for spring! Bring it on!
Oh yes, I remember your Riviera sejour in May:-))Thank you Igor and here’s to Spring when we will finally see each other!!
It’s been too long.
The Côte d’Azur looks stunning and what beautiful photos you’ve taken. Glad you were able to get away for some R & R, eating grilled fish by the harbour sounds wonderful. Hope Spring won’t be long coming for you guys. xx
Thank you Catherine and welcome back. I hope you had a goo summer break.
You would love The Côte d’Azur… yes, spring not too far away! xx
Such a glorious contrast to the post I’ve just read – you being drenched in a magnificent garden. Exquisite photography as always.
Hahaha. The funniest thing is that the weather down there does not fluctuate too much but on one day it was like here and literally the next day it was
pouring down all day and night…
Thank you Alison xx
Thank you for these lovely photos, Tina!
So good to see some sun even if only in a photo! The full moon photos are spectacular!
Hope your back gets better soon,
Liza
You are welcome Liza!
It now seems such a long time ago. I feel like going again. My back is already nearly back to normal. Thank you!
Stunning photos! Especially the one of the cliff, it shows nature’s magnitude. Never been to the Cote d’Azur but it’s very high on my to-do list.
Thank you Louise. The cliff ones is my personal favourite. I love the different proportions and the way the sun gives it that golden glow.
I’m sure as a sun friend you will fall in love with the French Riviera.
What a wonderful weekend you had! I was taken away into your sunny weekend for just a couple of minutes and it was wonderful. Great photo’s as usual 😉 xD
It was glorious and I can’t believe it’s nearly a month ago…. glad I could transport you there for a few minutes:-) x
A wonderful stroll! I’m amazed at your photography skills, how you managed to capture that full moon! And the fifth image (that majestic cliff) needs to be entered in some kind of competition…or sent to national geographic! Fab!!!!
Happy you got to get away and relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. It’s so important to do so 🙂
Xx.
Hahaha, you are far too kind lovely!! Haha, you’ll find that that cliff photo would never make it through, but I do love it… it was
the perfect moment. And the moon, I actually don’t think I’ve ever been on that coastal road when full moon. It was really special and magical, a bit like my London sunset! How often do we get to be at the right place at the right time???
Thank you sweetie and I know you have just had the most wonderful break yourself.. xx
