TINA!!!! I can’t type the excited noises that I’m making right now! How lovely for you, and what a really wonderful piece on your home and on you too. It’s a gorgeous magazine and your apartment is stunning. Of course it’s filled with life and color, just like you. I LOVE it. Now that it’s out, I’d love a behind-the-scenes post about what the process was like to be featured like that. (“Is it always so clean?” she asks among the mounds of dog hair…) xoxo

Thank you, dear! You love saying ‘dear’ so I’m saying it back:)

I let you into a secret. When you know that the editors and photographer comes round to shoot your place for a magazine, I promise you your abode would also be spotless:) I had enough time to swing round the hoover and make it look its best. Sad that it wasn’t summer as we would have photographed my terrace! Glad you like it!!

Amazing Tina! So funny being able to recognise some of the details from your blog, feels like I’ve already been there. Your eye for colour is extraordinary and I’m very much in awe of your skills. You’re famous!! You must be so pleased. But where’s the floorplan? 😉

    • Reply tina March 15, 2012 at 6:34 pm

It feels incredible today. I used to envy you being able to comment back at your leisure. Not sure why I never asked Zoe to change that. Suppose just been so busy. What an amazing feeling not to have to chase..

I know, must be funny because some of you would have seen bits and bobs of my flat here and there. Why, thank you for the compliment. I’ve always loved colour and I put it down to having watched Missoni do their thing since I was 15 years old. Famous? Hardly, but a little dream came true and isn’t that what life is about? Floorplan? Some day:)

Wow Tina! Your home is fantastic! It must be so lovely to come home to!

I truly love the white and the bright colours, it all looks so immaculate, it’s inspiring!

    Congratulations xx

When are you coming for a cuppa, you tea queen? I shall lay out all my tea stuff for you and we can spend a whole afternoon exchanging views…

Thank you, interior designer extraordinaire! You know the trick about colour is to keep the basics, walls etc white and then it facilitates balance. Well, that’s my humble opinion.
Thanks for the lovely comments x

  • Reply Sophie March 15, 2012 at 2:45 pm

Yay Tina! So lovely to see your beautiful home! You must be thrilled?!!
I love seeing all your pops of colour against the white – i agree with Nicola – it all looks immaculate! What a great layout too, you’ve made brilliant use of the interesting architectural features.
I haven’t looked at the rest of the mag yet, I actually flicked through to find your pages, and I’ll go back and read it properly tonight!
    Looking forward to tomorrow 🙂

Yo! Hello. Thank you. I know you love vintage so might be a little modern for you:) Enjoy the rest of the magazine. Really looking forward to our outing tomorrow. See ya x

Whoa! Check out those skylights! What a lucky lady you are. Your place is fab, and I love the way you built in storage to that area behind the sitting area down the stairs. Really great use of space! And I spy lots of white walls, missy. 😉

So how did you end up published?! That’s so cool! Did you contact them, did they contact you, how many squeals of delight did you do before agreeing?? So many burning questions! Congrats though, that’s an awesome feature!

    • Reply tina March 15, 2012 at 6:45 pm

White walls, yeah! So, does it get your approval. Warned you about needing celeb glasses in my space. I think you’d be fine here. I’ll put you out on the terrace when it all gets too much for you:)

Pleased you liked it:) thought surprise might be more fun than spilling!!! Surprised?

Congratulations, Tina! This is so exciting. It was really nice to see your space. You’ve done a really great job decorating the space and giving it your unique point of view. It’s colorful and really fun. Those painted striped walls are fantastic. (Your place reminds me of that colorful stripe post I just did.) It must feel so good to have something that you created, and so close to your heart, documented in such a wonderful way. Yahoo!

You know I had a post ready re: time travel (sort of) and Holly kind of said: what? Just embed magazine and show off!! All your fault, Holly! No, actually we spoke on skype as magazine launched. Was really nice to have her support.

Good news is I’ve got my next 2 posts sorted! Can you believe it? That’s never happened before. AND I can comment back at my leisure. I’m truly in heaven today!

Thank you T, it is rather fantastic to have something you created documented in such a way. Heart Home Mag did a fab job!

  • Reply Zoe March 15, 2012 at 5:21 pm

What a lovely home you have – it’ll be fun to be able to picture you in your environment when we chat now! That whole magazine is gorgeous, and I hadn’t heard of, excited to read more.

I agree with the previous commenter – I’d love to see a floor plan sketch!

Thank you Zoe. Thanks to Zoe I can now relax and reply to comments at my leisure. Zoe is my WordPress coder extraordinaire. There is nothing she doesn’t know and when I had an issue last night and panicked (She knows I do that, like on New Years Eve:) Zoe sent me a little video tutorial she had just thrown together for me. Incredibly sharp, great work ethics and amazing communication skills makes Zoe my geek hero! And she is a girl! I ALWAYS wanted a girl to work with on my website/blog. She doesn’t design these days but has an understanding that many web coders don’t! So, people, grab her, recommend her or just say hi to her. You all know how discerning I am and how I never recommend unless they are brilliant!
Thank you Zoe for all your help and support x

Zoe, Holly commented today that I don’t have a ‘subscribe to post comments’ facility and she would like one… another thing on the list:)

Holly, my love, it meant the world to me to have your support today. Thank you. Your friend x

I’m so happy to see your amazing home in this magazine! What a nice accomplishment – great for you, great from Heart Home too.

I agree with what Theresa says about the goodness of having something so special to you documented in a such a way. And we all have the pleasure of seeing it too, and sharing in the appreciation of your hard work and creative ideas. It’s really inspiring Tina. Making a house a home, YOUR home, is no easy task. Yours is beautiful. I feel it is a real home.

I keep looking at the pics over and over. I love the chairs. I love the little recycled milk carton dog. I love your bedroom, the stripes in the bathroom. The day bed. Your textile choices. The module you designed and the way you painted it – you already know how much I love that. It’s just a brilliant place and I’m so happy lots of people will see it.

I’m truly proud for you Xx.

ps. who designed the chairs again? … I know you told me already but I think I was distracted by the emotions of the moment and now I have a blank…

Holly, you make me blush, not an easy feat!!!!

      Thank you darling x

If you want to know my friend Tina, you have to look at her home. “Home is where the heart is”. She gave all the heart in creating a this, make a vision come true.
This doesn´t mean a place, this means a heart-surrounding warm welcome to your personality.

She´s a natural creative and creator!

Can anybody believe that it took the world so long to pay attention?
Is it only ´cause she´s a modest personality and doesn´t need her face in the foreground?

Let´s say thank you world – you´re recognizing what this woman is able to do: Change. Change thinking, feeling, change the way we look at things in our everyday life, triggering your senses. She can even make your home a place where your heart feels home.
Do we need anything more to prove? Just look at this magazine and her blog!

Can´t tell how proud I am of you!

Tina!! What a wonderful treat to have your home featured! It is truly beautiful and I love all the wonderful details (especially the Lichenstein-esque print and the Cole and Sons wallpaper!). I too dream about a library like Karl’s 🙂 It must be so lovely to live in a space you put so much time, thought and love into!

    • Reply tina March 16, 2012 at 8:39 pm

Jennifer, thank you so much. Yes, feels rather strange having my flat so exposed but it’s equally nice to be able to have that feature as a momento.

Gosh, one day we’ll have our little Karl Lagerfeld library and can visit each other’s:)

I love my home because I created it and it’s very me. That is a really special thing!

Having been lucky enough to be invited to a a surprise lunch at Tina’s flat yesterday, and in spite of the fact the piece in Heart Home is AMAZING, I have to say the real deal is EVEN better! A very cool flat that possibly could convert a Nordic disciple to living the colourful way!

At the risk of sounding obvious, repetitive and trite ……. I absolutely adore your home, Tina! It’s so YOU!! You’re so lucky you have a space that has been so beautifully and painstakingly tailored to your needs/taste ……… and completed in just two months???!!! I am truly in awe of you. Bravo, darling! 🙂

I’d already seen and fallen in love with snippets of your home (your bathroom and “snogging area” are to die for) but it’s so wonderful to see it in (almost) all its glory.
